Class News Bulletin

Dear Classmate,

To bring you up to date, here are a few items from the January 29th Class Executive Committee meeting:

►  Peter Ellis has been initially appointed Co-Chair for our 60th Reunion, to be held in May, 2021

►  A survey has just been sent to the entire Class to confirm  interest in attending our 60th Reunion,
and asking if you want to be involved in the planning.

►  Josh Young will be the Managing Editor for this year’s Class Newsletters.

►   The first four issues are posted on our Class Website at http://1961.classes.harvard.edu/
If you do not yet have your Website Key, and are having difficulty with the Website
directions to get it, contact Ann Moore at anadonaldovna@gmail.comand she will help
      you get signed up.

►  We will coordinate our 60th Reunion Event schedule following the HAA Maintaining
Connections Committee Reunion Guidelines, which may combine other Classes
for some Reunion Events.  Greg Downes and Jane Otte represent us on that Committee,
and we will all be receiving further details going forward.

►  With Newell Flather and Todd Lee leading the Diorama Committee, progress is being
made in scoping restoration requirements for the Harvard Yard dioramas from 1636 to 1936.
This will likely lead to authorization from Harvard for 1961 to undertake the restoration,

with assurance of appropriate future public display in the Harvard community as an
enduring Class Gift.  The Class Committee will vote on this Resulution on May 1st.

►  There will be a Class Event at John Reidy’s on Cape Cod this summer, for sure.

As plans develop, we will be sending more information.

With best regards,

The 1961 Class Executive Committee,

Tom Blodgett, Greg Downes, Peter Ellis, Newell Flather,
Dave Larkin, Jane Otte, Joyce Penniston, Ruth Scott,
