Articles for Next Issue of 1961 Newsletter

Dear Classmates,

In 2018, the Class Communications Committee, with Peter Ellis at the helm, somehow turned out four issues in one year.  Any exclamation will do, but the one I am thinking of is Good Grief, Charlie Brown.  Certainly, an amazing effort.  In the interests of providing new challenges, Josh Young will be serving as Lead Editor in 2019.

Peter is already knee-deep in planning our 60th Reunion for Commencement Week in 2021.

Josh and I have determined that the next Newsletter Theme will be Innovation in Education, in particular, what role you may have played in fostering change, enhancement of outcomes, use of new media and methodology, and any other means of gaining student engagement.  Students or learners come in all sizes, so individualized instruction may be a key factor for success.  Were there cultural factors involved?

Let's include within this Theme any efforts at self development and personal growth.  Any transformative learning you have experienced will be of great interest to all of us.

We now invite you to submit your articles, up to 1,000 words, with an illustration or graphic.  What was the before and after?  Who was the population?  How did you replace the status quo?

We look forward to seeing what you have done and how you did it.  Let’s aim for submissions by May 1, 2019.

 With best regards,
