Hosts and Speakers for New 60th Pre-Reunion Zoom Events
Dear 60th Reunion Classmate,
You have now seen how Sam Hopkins will host a virtual Presentation by Peter Savage speaking about his career in intelligence in Brazil. We already have a second presentation lined up for Peter one month later, in which he will deal with his clandestine years in Argentina.
We now have 33 Classmates signed up for Peter’s Brazil Presentation on September 12th.
Do you have a Personal Story to tell that would lend itself to a Zoom presentation? Do you have a Zoom account on which you could host a speaker? Please reply to me at Tom Blodgett if you have expertise or an interest to present, or, the know-how to support a speaker at another 60th Pre-Reunion Event.
We have time for five or six more monthly presentations from November through April 2021.
Hopefully, our traditional Reunion will begin in Cambridge on the evening of May 24th and last through Commencement and Radcliffe Day on May 28th. If HAA feels it is necessary to shorten our two and a half day format, some of the content may be shared in Zoom presentations, but we hope not.
In early September, I will send out our day-to-day Traditional Reunion schedule. Co-Chairs, Peter Ellis, Josh Young, and Ruth Scott have prepared an exciting array of Events. This will give you a head start in deciding whether you will join us for the Reunion we have planned, so you can plan the trip, and decide whether you wish to attend from Monday night through Thursday. If you are pretty sure you will attend, would you let me know in September, so we can make reservations in December for you at the Doubletree Hotel? The HAA may not confirm its policies until March, so everything will be in limbo, and bookings tentative, until they confirm.
Regarding new Pre-Reunion Events, please let me know if you have any new ideas. Thank you.
