The 1961 Harvard-Radcliffe Class is invited to Join MHR for a Dark Pond Picnic
Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 4 pm to 9:00 pm 

We Will Serve Oysters, Appetizers, Cold Salmon and Chicken,Salads, Fruit and Dessert

Come at 11 am for Bass Fishing (two canoes and one boat are available, or you can fish from the bank). Tom Warren will lead a Nature Walk at 3 pm around this pristine lake, part of the Brewster Forest until it was purchased and conserved in the 1950s. 

We may have a surprise Musical Presentation during and after Dinner

Reception with Wine, Champagne, and Hors d'oeuvres from 4 to 5:45 pm. 
Dinner Service at 5:45, from four serving tables, and seating at round tables with chairs. 

Bathroom facilities will be provided. 

We must limit the total number of guests to 40.  We apologize for this restriction.  In these serene surroundings, as a courtesy to the Dark Pond Association, we are adopting a first come – first served policy.  Please send your registration forms and checks as soon as possible. 

Parking is very limited, so we will meet at Friendly Farm on Route 101.   Please car-pool in with full cars.  Heading East on 101, The Dark Pond driveway, is on the right, between stone pillars, is 100 yards up from Friendly Farm. 
Correspondingly, heading West on 101, the Dark Pond Driveway is 300 yards beyond the West Lake Road on the left, at the NW corner of Dublin Lake.  The two parking areas at Dark Pond (marked with ribbons), hold 6 and 4 cars respectively for those who need to park as close to the Pond as possible.  There will be a third marked 6-car parking area, 100 yards up the trail from the picnic area (park facing out) for those who can walk further.
