Massachusetts Historical Tour Questionnaire

Dear 1961 Classmate,

The number of you expressing interest in the Massachusetts History Tour has already passed ten positive responses thus far.  We have already concluded that October 4th and 5th will work for most who wish to attend.  Please give us Your Feedback on the Questionnaire below.

Please send your responses to Joan Hutchins, c/o Sara McGhee. ‘Forward’ this email by inserting semcghee@yahoo.com in the 'To' field, and then scroll down to answer the Questionnaire below.  After completing your answers, simply press 'Send,' and Sara will receive and record your answers .  Thank you.  Your answers to the six questions will help us determine:

  • One Day or Two Days?
  • If One Day, which Day?
  • Travel byCarpool with three or four per car, or be a Carpool Driver?
  • Attend First Night Dinner?

These are the costs we have estimated:  The Bus cost will apply only if we have 30 or more participants for each day.  We believe that with a smaller number we can find drivers willing to take three or four others in their cars to each location, thus eliminating the cost of the bus.

Day One

Day Two

By Bus

$  110.00

$  110.00

By Car

40.00

40.00

Does not include a la carte lunches or first evening dinner.

Assuming we carpool, each carpool driver would follow the basic routes to New Bedford and Plymouth, and once we are there:

  • Day One:  Drive to the Whaling Museum, then make the circuit to see the Captains’ Mansions
  • Day Two:  Drive to the Mayflower and back, and stop for the Grist Mill tour on the way back.

Fundamentally, the pleasure of these events will be spending time with Classmates whom we rarely see.
